Cutting Board Oil

AmbroseBoards Cutting Board Oil is made with clear, odorless, pure food-grade mineral oil. The penetrating quality of food-grade mineral oil brings out the depth of grain in wood and helps prevent drying and cracking. Cutting Board Oil is perfect for the initial “oiling” or “seasoning” of cutting boards and butcher blocks.

Board Butter - Cutting Board Conditioner

Works to restore and protect all types of wood: maple, walnut, cherry, bamboo, pine, teak, acacia, oak, hickory, sapele, mahogany, birch, beech, larch, olive and more.

Description:
Safely seal and protect cutting boards, butcher blocks, wood kitchen work surfaces, utensils and cook tops with our all natural wax formulation.

Made using beeswax and food grade mineral oil, our wax is completely safe for use with food. Blended with just the right touch, applying the wax is easy and frustration free. No curing, melting or harmful vapors.

Directions for Use:

  • After removing protective cap, remove and apply wax directly onto wood. Using a soft cloth, spread wax evenly over surface, rubbing well into the wood grain. While safe for immediate use, it is preferable to wait 1 to 2 hours prior to using.

  • For best results, we recommend oiling wood with a food grade mineral oil prior to sealing wood with wax.

  • Recommended usage is 1 gram of board Butter per square foot of wood, applied every 3 to 4 weeks.

  • Some separation of mineral oil and wax is natural, especially if stored in cold environment.

Board Butter Application Instructions:
Make sure your wood surface is clean and dry. Use your finger to collect a small amount of the Board Butter onto your fingertip. Using a small amount, use a circular pattern to massage the mixture into the wood surface. Repeat as necessary to assure the entire board is coated. The warmth of your hands will melt the board butter into the wood. You will start to notice a shiny coating is left after you work the board butter into the wood. After coating the entire piece. Let the treated wood sit overnight so it can absorb the board butter. After absorption, use a cloth or paper towel to buff the surface of the wood to close up any existing open pores.
